Toronto music fans were displeased to find out, through no fault of Coda, that Stimming would no longer be able to make an appearance this Saturday. The German maestro cancelled all remaining dates on his tour, so the disappointment was shared in many other cities as well. Coda has always had a history of making lemonade from lemons though. Just this past summer they turned a rained out electric island into a seven hour Sven Väth marathon set. So rather than call it quits, Coda managed to bring in Maceo Plex to fill the vacancy.
Though definitely a gear shift, Maceo Plex is a pretty decent substitute on such short notice. Though his first visit to Toronto left some fans gruntled (there’s still debate to how little he played but it falls around the 45 minute to an hour range), the RA poll topper and now Ibiza resident has thrown down some major sets in the city. It’s safe to say he won’t be pulling any fast ones this time around, so no need to worry about blinking and missing him. We’re curious to see what the superstar will bring this time around, so stay tuned for our review.
