It seems as though it were just yesterday when Coda showcased the distinct techno beats of international sensations and homegrown Toronto duo Art Department on opening night. Since then three years have passed, and many of the world’s most profound electronic music acts have taken the reigns behind one of Toronto’s most infamous techno clubs. While many memories have been shared at Coda, there are many more to be had with the solid booking power of one of the world’s most esteemed electronic night clubs.

Starting the weekend off we have Laurent Garnier, one of the biggest heavyweights in the industry, supported by a strong local line up. Laurent Garnier, doesn’t need much of an introduction, but he definitely demands one. The French house legend has a career stemming back impressively to almost three decades now, and shows no signs of slowing down. There are few acts that can put on the caliber of show Garnier will bring to Coda on Thursday night.

On Friday night Coda hosts Eats Everything, who has been responsible for some of the most floor rocking tracks and remixes in the techno world. His last rework, (Dancing Again!), was one of the most bass heaviest anthems to come out last year in collaboration with Tiga. If his tracks are any indication, Eats Everything will definitely have a few hidden gems that are sure to leave the walls vibrating upon his departure.

To finish the weekend, Yokoo from All Day I Dream will be taking over as a SXM Festival destination booking. Yokoo has been known to play groovy deep house for daytime sets, so seeing him transition his sensual sound for a darker nightclub will definitely be an interesting sight. He’s managed to crush every one of his last couple of mixes, so the change of atmosphere shouldn’t be too much of a problem.

Whichever night you decide to attend, if not every one, will definitely not leave you disappointed. Coda has been a staple in the Toronto electronic world, and the anniversary weekend will only be an exasperated showcase of some of the finest international talent the club has been able to pull in. Show up early for a good sound of the local talent and get your dancing shoes on, Coda will sure not be one to disappoint this upcoming weekend.
