By Kaivan Adjedani, Senior Editor. Toronto continues to establish a reputation for having one of the best summer seasons in terms of music with the return of the Summerdaze concert series. Returning for a fifth year, alongside events Electric Island and Sunset Sessions at Sunnyside Pavillion, the Summerdaze concert series makes the otherwise frigid Toronto one of the hottest house music destinations for this summer. The concert series doesn’t restrict itself to a dance floor and stage, but rather takes advantage of all the innovative and unique venues Toronto has to offer. The first concert, which kicks off May 15th, is being held inside the infamous Steamwhistle Brewery located at 255 Bremner Blvd.
While the atmosphere and environment of the individual venues is enough reason to attend alone, the acts playing the Summerdaze season this year are another testament to Toronto promoters and their carefully curated lineups. Mainline might just literally set the dance floor on fire with a live disco performance, while the groovy house beats from house legend Marques Wyatt and Berlin maestro Oliver Dollar are sure to keep the crowd moving at all times. Headlining the event will be the insanely talented duo Bedouin, who have captivated audiences worldwide with their Middle Eastern inspired melodic deep house.
The Summerdaze concert series kicks off Sunday May 15th, with eight dates this season varying across different locations.
