By Kaivan Adjedani, Senior Editor. On Friday February 12th, Pan-Pot makes their return to Toronto to take over the decks in a club atmosphere at Coda nightclub. The berlin based duo makes their return after playing one of Toronto’s most eclectic sets prior this year in May at Electric Island. With the heavy performance the duo put on earlier in the year, Toronto awaits with baited breath to see what the Second State label bosses have up their sleeves this time around.
Tassilo Ippenberger and Thomas Benedix met at the infamous SAE institute for creative media in Berlin, and have since dominated the techno industry under the alias Pan-Pot. Having put out a multitude of top quality releases on labels such as Mobilee and Soma Records, Pan-Pot has shown no signs of slowing down since their inception at the SAE institute. In 2014 the techno masterminds founded their own record label, Second State, which has served as a creative platform for the duo to connect and share their vision of techno with fans and other likeminded artists.
Pan-Pots performance at Electric Island was a showcase of the groups versatility and musical knowledge. The duo put just the right amount of bounce in their techno set to suit the time slot they were playing, hitting the decks right before sunset. This time around they have the audio, visuals, and darkness of Coda nightclub. We doubt you’ll find a better spot to hear Pan-Pots signature wall shaking techno Friday night.
