By Kaivan Adjedani, Senior Editor. Nicole Moudaber returns to Coda Nightclub for a “make-up set” this Friday, September 4th, after falling ill prior to her scheduled set in May. Ever since entering the techno scene, Moudaber has set dance floors ablaze in every city she has visited. The superstars signature sound will be accompanied by a variety of new material, as Moudaber’s EP Breed is set to release September 18th. If you’ve had the itch for some hard techno, there’s nowhere else to be this Friday night than getting into the groove with Nicole Moudaber.
Special guests The Junkies will kick things off for Toronto on Friday night. The duo have collaborated with Moudaber on occasion, and also with anyone who’s anyone in the techno scene. Their set at Electric Island was already off the hook, so imagine what they’ll do when they’re in the darkness at Coda, the perfect techno aesthetic. These guys will definitely get your adrenaline going, a perfect way to get you “In The Mood” for the queen to take over.
Nicole Moudaber talked about her varied sound in 2015, which Toronto got a taste of during the beginning of her Bestival set in June. Playing a dubbier sound, reminiscent of the “Her Dub Material” EP, the techno vixen showed Toronto a different side to the artist from what they’re accustomed to. For fans of Moudaber’s signature sound however, they need not worry as we’re sure we’re bound to hear some of the superstars signature big room techno. Get ready to hear some massive drops, but only after Nicole almost drives you crazy building them up and making you crave them before they actually play. Take a listen to Someone Like You from Nicole Moudaber’s Breed EP below.
Tickets are sold out online, however there will be 300 advance tickets available at the door.
