After an unfortunate two weeks of outdoor events and festivals being rained down on, things finally get better and brighter in Toronto with the July 5th Ozmozis Boat Cruise featuring Eelke Kleinj and Nick Warren. Deep house pairs perfectly with sunny skies so what better way to spend the beautiful weather on Sunday than sailing the waters to some majorly upbeat dance floor tunes? No need for ponchos or umbrellas this weekend, but DO be sure to dance up a metaphorical storm on this ride. Here’s a little about what to expect Sunday:
On one half of the bill we have Eelke Kleinj, a house dj and producer hailing all the way from the Netherlands. Coming off his hot new release “In My Head”, on Spinning Deep Records, we can’t wait to sail the waters to the sounds of Kleinj’s perfectly danceable deep house beats. If you’ve been checking out any summertime house playlists or are just simply in the mood to dance on a hot sunny day, there’s no better place to be on Sunday than in front of this talented Dutchman’s dj booth.
The second of the headliners, Nick Warren brings a style over to Toronto that’s a bit harder to accurately summarize. While the English dj and producer can put together a killer deep house set, a listen to one of his “Soundgarden” mixes will give you insight into his more blissful and melodic side. Nonetheless, it’s Nick Warren and only Nick Warren himself that will decide what he wants to play and how he wants to play it. With his impressive skills behind the turntables, we can pretty much guarantee his set will be outstanding – we can’t help but keep our fingers crossed for a taste of his melodic side on Sunday though.
Special Mention – Amber Long
Amber Long will be providing support this Sunday for the two headlining deep house acts. Take one listen to her promo mix for the event and we promise that you will not be disappointed. If she takes the same direction during her set that she did with her mix be prepared to pace yourself, because the heavy bass will certainly not let you leave the dance floor.
