By Lauren Lyford. Just last Friday I saw Issues for the first time and I became an instant fan. Then I was lucky enough to score the review for their self-entitled album, which made me an even bigger fan of the band. I usually just stay with my Bring Me The Horizon and stick my nose up to all other bands in the genre, Issues totally broke through my usual snooty-ness and blew me away.

The way this band can incorporate so many unique sounds, that you usually don’t hear together so flawlessly is incredible. Issues has a distinctive mix of heavy rock vocals accompanied with soulful verses along with unique scratching. No other band can compare to their genre bending tunes. There is not one song on this album I don’t enjoy.

This album is a must have for any and everyone, even if you aren’t usually a fan of heavy music you can find a song on this album that you’ll fall in love with. The song “Mad at Myself” is a personal favorite of mine; it starts out with strong vocals and ends with more strong vocals from both Tyler Carter and Michael Bohn that continue to complement each other throughout the entirety of the album.

This album by Issues is a must have for everyone. And if you can manage to get tickets to The American Dream Tour make sure you get there early to get a good spot for their set! And if not you will get your chance to see them on The Vans Warped Tour this summer!
