On September 19th, folk quartet Twin Forks made their way through Atlanta, Georgia on tour for their highly anticipated EP, appropriately titled Twin Forks. The band brought along two more fantastic bands, What’s Eating Gilbert and Matrimony.
What’s Eating Gilbert, the side project of Chad Gilbert of New Found Glory, kicked off the night playing songs from all three of their 50’s-esque 2010 releases, a few songs from their newly-released EP, Cheap Shots, as well as a cover of “Pretty Woman” by Roy Orbison.
Next, North Carolina-based band, Matrimony, played a crowd-pleasing set filled with ear warming vocals from husband and wife duo Ashlee and Jimmy Brown.
Lastly, Twin Forks finished off the night playing a 17-song set comprised of tracks from their new self-titled EP, tour EP, and a cover of “Blister in the Sun” by Violent Femmes. (By Savana Ogburn)
