Canadian dream-pop band Stars headlined The Glass House in Pomona on September 20, 2013. Opening for them was Oakland based Trails & Ways, who were able to capture the audience’s attention with jangly guitars and bilingual songs.
Welcomed back warmly, Stars returned their fans’ cheers with gracious appreciation for not only them but the intimate venue. Their setlist encompassed the group’s expansive career including fan favorites such as “Your Ex-Lover is Dead” and the newly released “Wishful.”
Not a band to stick with tradition, vocalist Torquil Campbell ad-libbed during “One More Night” while intros were modified to keep fans on their toes. Stars closed their show with an heartfelt rendition of the earnest ballad “The 400.” (by Jennie Tan)
